Jan Scruggs is well known and respected for his work in creating the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington DC.  A TV movie was made about his story entitled " TO HEAL A NATION".  He was played by Eric Roberts and the movie is available on UTube.  

​The son of a waitress and a truck driver, he volunteered to serve our nation after high school.  Jan was decorated for gallantry by the US Army in Vietnam. After his return he became a recognized expert on Post Traumatic Stress. He wrote articles on the subject for the Washington Post and Military Medicine. He obtained a Master of Education from American University in Washington DC and a law degree from the University of Maryland. He is a member of the Bar of the District of Columbia Court of Appeals.   

​Jan uses humor and emotion to entertain audiences. Jan is currently a senior Advisor helping to raise over a million dollars for the Global War on Terror Memorial planned for Washington DC.  He Chairs the National Appeals Board for the Selective Service.
